This just might work.

I talked to Mom today, she gave me the go-ahead to start looking for somewhere to live this summer. The on-campus apartment community, Campus Village, lets occupants sublet their apartments during the summer, if they're not going to be living there. There were about 15 listings on the system for furnished rooms available for females, so I sent out emails to each of them basically saying "I'm interesting interested, please let me know if the space is still available."

I got an email back earlier from one girl, Anna, who said "I'm really looking for someone to sublet both sessions, but if you only want it for one, maybe we can work something out." I responded, saying, "That's perfect -- I'm looking for a place to stay for both sessions." And she got back to me: "OMG!!!!!!! You have just about saved my life!! Thank you soo much!"

So, hopefully that bodes well for my chances of getting the spot.
