I grew up in so-cal, and I never heard of them. Must be something in the last couple of years. Of course, I've been living in denver for the last 10 years, so that may account for it. I am framiler with something that it SOUNDS like, but they are much smaller, and swallowed without attempting to chew, which would be pointless lol....
