When in rains, it pours...

I hate my goddamned fucking computer, and the little bitch hates me.

Rebooted this morning, because I was having problems with pop-up ads. Or, well, I tried to reboot. It shut down fine, then got hung up on a blank black screen while trying to boot up. Shut down again, let it sit for a few minutes, tried again. Still nothing. Called Erik, he suggested I try booting into safe mode. I tried -- and it got hung up while trying to load one of the drivers.

Long story short, I've just finished reformatting my computer, and every fucking thing that could have gone wrong during the process has. Goddamned Murphy.

But I have my writing files, and I have my music on my iPod (I'm not sure I'll actually be able to get them from the iPod to the computer, but as long as I have them, I'm content), so it's not tragic, just traumatic.

Did I say I was naming my computer Stulte? I've changed my mind. Her name is now Canicula. It's Latin for "little bitch", and it's fucking appropriate.

I'm reminded of one of Reina's quotes from Copper Kiss. She says to Shane, "One of these days, you'll be a vampire. When you are, I hope you burn."

Well, Canicula, one of these days you'll be replaced, and when you are, I hope you burn.
