And I'm back! Woot, I had SUCH a blast in Dallas! Nonny, Robert, Shay, Vel, Star, Chris, Sil, Pent, Resa, and anyone else I guys all rock! Purries! I had so much fun getting to meet you all face-to-face!

I managed to get a whole 161 words written while in Dallas...well, actually, that was on the plane out to Dallas, lol. But I had SO much fun!!! I wish I could have stayed longer. Damn college classes.

Anyway. Nonny and Robert got married, no one got cold feet and ditched the other at the altar (or the pagan equivalent thereof. Ditched someone at the circle?) (just mentioning this because a friend of mine did ask... *snork*). And, I got me a fiance. ^_^ Yup, that's right, Erik proposed, I accepted (big surprise there, huh?) No clue when it'll be--have to get in the same city, or at least the same state first, which could be a while. But I am sooooo damn happy!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

First, Nano.

After studying my NaNo Excel Report Card Spreadsheat Thingie, I realized that I'm about 7k behind where I need to be to make 100k by the end of November. I'm not anticipating getting much written in the next five days. If I get nothing written (the worst extreme. Unlikely, but still, a possibility), I'll have to write more than 5k/day in order to catch up. That ain't gonna happen. And I've been letting my class reading slip, which is NOT what you want to be doing the first quarter of your first year of college...not a good habit to get into.

I've messed around with my Excel Spreadsheet thingie, and I think I'm going to downgrade my goal from 100k to 75k. That's 2.5k/day, and that puts me a little bit ahead of where I need to be. And if I get nothing written between now and the 18th, I'll have to write 3.225k/day in order to catch up. That's still less than my current daily goal for 100k. So it's all good.

And I understand that this may still be more of a time commitment than I can afford to put into NaNo. That's okay, too. I'm not dropping out, and as long as I make 50k by the 30th, I'll be happy. It's more important to me to be able to write and succeed in school, than to write a lot, at the expense of my schoolwork.

I'm bloody paying for college. I'm not going to pay for it just so I can sit on the computer and type 24/7.

And now, Dallas. As most of you know, I'll be flying to Dallas tomorrow morning, for [ profile] nonnycat and [ profile] robertsloan2's handfasting, and returning the evening of Tuesday, the 18th. I'll be bringing my laptop, but I don't think my hotel room has an internet connection, so I may be incommunicado until Tuesday or Thursday.

For those of you not able to attend the handfasting, I'll see you all next week! :)

WOOOT!! I've got tickets!! YAYYYYYY!!!

*stops bouncing off the walls and clears her throat* Sorry about that. Been waiting for this for a while. ;)

I've finally finally finally got the tickets to Nonny and Robert's handfasting. And so does Erik. :D I have been stressing out about this and looking forward to this, and WHEW--I've finally got them and they're non-refundable, so barring catastrophe, we ARE going.

Purries!!!! Yayyy!!!!!!!!!!!

My internet connection is back up! Thank God! It was a major pain in the rear trying to reconfigure our settings so that it would work, but I'm so happy to have it back, I don't care.

Oh, and I got an email yesterday from a REALLY old friend. We went to daycare together, and I haven't talked to her since 5th grade. She found my website, which had my email address on it, and emailed me. I emailed her back last night, and then, this morning at school, we bumped into each other! Talk about coincidences! I'm very glad to be back in contact with her, we were great friends, and I've missed her a lot. So I'm doubly happy today, and feeling very good!
